Default Death Necro(PvE)

Every death build I see is all about the Minions, I wanted to build a Corpse Explosion Necro(PvE), well one that sues the corpses to not summon creatures, Is this possible or will it suck really bad, i'm thinking that I wont beable to do much until my hero henchs kill something.

Has anyone ever tried this, and had any sort of fun with it?

you could try a icy veins/putrid bile/corpse explosion build. +deathly chill to do some damage
if you manage to kill a foe, it could lead in a fun killing chain

The problem is that simply detonating the corpse is inferior, from a damage viewpoint as well as an energy/health-management viewpoint, to raise two bone minions, putting Death Nova on them, and then detonating them either by Putrid Flesh or Taste of Death.

If you are determined to go for it anyway, I'd try a build consisting of

Putrid Bile - Rising Bile - Malign Intervention - Icy Veins - Putrid Explosion - Signet of Lost Souls, and a couple more. However, no, it probably won't be too powerful.

Well.. he didn't say anything about damage. Blood magic has corpse spells too.
Run high blood and fairly high Soul Reaping. A Ritualist secondary can be useful for Death Pact Signet.
4 points in Restoration Prayers can also give another global 2 hp regeneration with Recuperation.

Well Of Power {E}
Well of Blood
Life Siphon
Awaken the Blood
Blood Bond
Blood Ritual/Order of Pain/Rend Enchantments/Mark of Fury/Recuperation
Necrosis
res

As you can see, it's all about keeping those little arrows really really high. =)
Kinda fun to see people comment on how good the monk is. Of course you could always play a minion master, but that DOES get old after a while.
Now assuming that a party member is affected by all of your skills..
That's 7hp+7hp+7hp+2hp(recuperation) and 2+3 energy regen. This is usually more than enough to deal with even the most hex heavy areas.
You want to Life Siphon a few targets and cast Blood Renewal as soon as you can. That will keep your HP up for all of the bonds. Make sure to stand in your own wells, and you can bond every person in your party quite easily.
An enchantment upgrade is a good idea here, as it extends Blood Bond, Awaken the Blood, and Blood Renewal.
Mystic Regeneration might not be a bad idea here either. You'll have 4 enchants, so even a lowly 3 Earth Prayers will get you 8 regeneration for 24 seconds.

[skill]Rising Bile[/skill][skill]Putrid Bile[/skill][skill]Deathly Chill[/skill][skill]Augury of Death[/skill][skill]Toxic Chill[/skill][skill]Signet of Toxic Shock[/skill][skill]Vile Miasma[/skill][skill]Consume Corpse[/skill]
Works well in PvE, you can switch out Augury for a rez just makes the spike slower. This build is really nice for mobs, hex up a target and then spike them to death and all nearby foes take a lot of damage.

14-16 Death
9 SR
10 Deadly Arts
